Beginning Watercolor Class with Pat Rollie!

If you have always wanted to learn to paint with watercolors but never took that first step, then this is the class for you!

In this workshop, confidence and skills in watercolor painting are developed through lecture, demonstration and hands on class exercises. We will work together on a class project with individual attention to each student’s work.

Topics include: the basics of paper, brushes, paint and subject matter. We will explore the characteristics of color and the variety of painting techniques unique to watercolor.

You may not leave this class with an art masterpiece, but you will leave the class with the skills to create one!

“My goal is for each student to leave the classroom feeling brave, excited and moving one step closer to becoming an accomplished watercolor artist!”- Instructor Pat Rollie

Pat’s previous students have this to say:

“I had no idea an artist was hiding inside of me until Pat opened the door and invited my artist to come out and play. I’m never closing that door.” Sharon Mayeux

“…Pat was always upbeat and supportive of all students in the class, and helped everyone succeed. I had so much fun and learned skills I went home and used immediately ” Susan Mirau

JEREMY the artist ZIMMERMAN was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September
13, 1973, where he lived for several years before traveling Out West with
his young parents… Living in the mountains of Colorado and traveling until
he was ten, he filled his childhood with many magical memories of nature and

After returning to Tennessee, he settled into school in Tullahoma where he
was more interested in dreams than in school — getting into a little hot
water for spay-painting the town… which earned him four-hundred hours of
public service work…

After learning a lesson about vandalism in his community; he stayed on track
to prove ART is not a crime!!!

At eighteen he moved to the Tampa area in Florida and was exposed to a
rough, street side of life and cut his visit short by hitchhiking back 1300
miles to the mountains of Kentucky, staying three months in a hippie commune
and getting back to the roots of his early childhood of nature and fun…

Later in his 20’s he lived in his hometown Nashville, and for seven years,
he worked as an artist at Opryland. At 27, he moved back home to Tullahoma
and started from scratch, having four children and using his life lessons to
be the most protecting and loving father…

He provides for his family by running his own construction company, Superior
Woodwork, which is responsible for projects in our community such as
Citizens Tri-county Bank, The Celtic Cup, George Dickel and many more.
